Yassin Moghazy Campaign - About Me

Yassin Moghazy is an IT professional, husband, and Gwinnett County resident running for the Georgia State House in District 97. He and his wife Anastashia are expecting a baby girl, and like many families in Gwinnett, they want the area to remain a safe, affordable, and opportunity-filled place to raise a family.

Born in Cairo, Egypt, to an American mother and an Egyptian father who met while working at the U.S. Embassy, Yassin moved to the United States and settled in Gwinnett County at the age of eight. From his elementary school classroom to Parkview High and a successful career in IT, Gwinnett has been the foundation of his life and community.

Yassin is running for the Georgia State House because he believes our community deserves practical leadership focused on lowering costs, enhancing online safety for children, supporting strong public safety measures, and reducing the tax burden. He is committed to listening to neighbors, bridging differences, and ensuring that Gwinnett County politics continues to foster an environment where families from every background can thrive.
